This reminds me that there is a scene out there on Youtube with Bryan Cranston waking up in the Malcolm in the Middle universe, with Breaking Bad being Hal’s terrible nightmare:

It always bothered me too from the first time I saw it in 1957. The same conundrum in my 7 year old mind.
