I’m not from Wisconsin but I’ve always liked the song I’m Living in Wisconsin by the Dead Milkmen.
Randy Newman - Louisiana 1927
An oldie but goody, Indiana Wants Me.
There’s Midnight Train to Georgia, which may or may not count… but it does have my home state in the title, so there.
Psst - post 28. Although the song is definitely good enough to mention twice.
“I Owe a Lot to Iowa Pot” by Napoleon XIV. (Sorry, couldn’t find it on Youtube.)
My top 4 choices have been taken (Midnight Train to Georgia, Country Roads, Sweet Home Alabama, and Blue Moon of Kentucky, in that order). So I’ll mention my number 5: I want to be in Michigan.
James Taylor “Carolina in my Mind”
(Why, Oh, Why, Oh, Did I Ever Leave) Ohio? From Wonderful Town, (1953), lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green; music by Leonard Bernstein.

I’ve seen him do this live, and the imitations he works in to the song are hilarious. You can get a sense of this from the recording of the song on his “Live at Birdland” CD.
Jesus H. Christ and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse have a song called, “Connecticut’s for fucking”
Jersey Girl, by Tom Waits. Also recorded by Springsteen.
His Billie Holiday is even funnier than his Dylan!
It wasn’t a big radio hit, but I always really loved Sara Evans’ “Missing Missouri.” Especially the bridge. ‘Tobacco fields, an’ bumblebees, an’ the Cardinals playin’ on TV…’
Hotel California
Texas (When I Die) - Tanya Tucker
All My Ex’s Live In Texas - George Strait
Indiana Wants Me

Speaking of Stephen Foster:
