I apologize if this is the wrong forum for such a question but to my eye it seems the best suited so ill go ahead here. Is there a best way to contact TPTB who are in control of the board software? I emailed an administrator oh about a week or so ago and I’ve yet to hear back. I dont know if there is a more efficient, effective way? The matter i need to bring to the attention of the AD/MODS isn’t _urgent_ urgent but I would like to handle it in as timely a manner as possible. So if there is a more efficient means of contacting the Dope staff please advise. Thanks ---

The traditional method is to drink a bottle of good scotch, write a note and put it inside the bottle, travel to your nearest sea and deposit the bottle in the water. Then wait. _This method has_ **never** _been known to fail!_ ---

There currently is no administrator since the recent passing away of **TubaDiva** and the current mods have no access to the board software. That’s a different department. Your best bet is probably to send a message to @engineer_comp_geek and he can send your question up the food chain to the appropriate personnel. ---

The about page, accessible via the hamburger menu at upper right 🍔, contains this info. Here’s a direct link [/about](https://boards.straightdope.com/about) One fun subtlety for the peanut gallery: this list is ordered by most recent appearance, idea being, if you need to contact staff, you probably want to contact a staff member who has been around… recently, versus one who was last seen in 2003. So those people are naturally at the top of the list. ---

If I was a mod, I would _insist_ on being summoned by a giant bat signal that lights up the night sky. Although I might miss it - as admittedly I only glance at the night sky from time to time. ---
