# Best way to copy mp3s to IPod without Itunes

I was gifted an IPod a few days ago and want to copy files to it without using the annoying Itunes program. I was hoping there was a decent way to do this free. Any suggestions?

iTunes is free and one of the more non-annoying MP3 management programs I’ve seen.

You could try formatting the iPod as a drive, and figuring out the index and directory structure, but it’s not worth the effort.

Winamp has an iPod plugin

Don’t have an iPod, so can’t say how well it works.

I use [EphPod](http://www.ephpod.com/) and find that it does what I need it to do.
