# Best way to freshen odors on Cashmere sweater?

I bought a new $$$$ cashmere sweater and I mistakenly put it too close to a musky smell jacket and the smell has transferred to the cashmere.

How can I freshen the cashmere sweater? Hand wash with woolite, or will that shrink it? I tried gently steaming it with a clothes steamer but it didn’t seem to affect the smell. I have a bad feeling it wont air out.

Hand wash it in cold and lay it flat to dry(do NOT hang) and it will come out beautiful.

I have lots of cashmere (including socks!!) and this works like a charm.
