Gonna be moving in with my fiancee in a few months and she hates the smell of smoke, but I’ve been living in the same apartment for a few years and I smoke freely there. I also have a lot of books that I want to bring with me. Anyone know the best way to get rid of the smell that these books have accumulated? I have heard that sealing them up in an airtight tub for a few weeks with kitty litter works.

Get some zeolite from a pet or health food store–look for the words natural or volcanic air freshener. Put the books in a garbage with the zeolite and seal it tight for a day or two.

The smell will be totally gone.

Zeolite! Thanks, I’ll try that.
