What are your favorite websites (aside from the SD, of course!)? I don’t do much surfing of my own, so I don’t have any particular favorites…although [http://www.theonion.com](http://www.theonion.com) is hilarious as hell (But that’s already been featured in Weird Earl’s) ---

I’ve had a lot of fun playing with [http://www.sonicnet.com](http://www.sonicnet.com) lately. It’s neat making your own “radio station” that plays only your favorite bands. ---

[www.brunching.com](http://www.brunching.com) is always good for a daily laugh. [http://www.rinkworks.com](http://www.rinkworks.com) and [http://www.timmybighands.com](http://www.timmybighands.com), ditto, when they’re updated. [http://www.theforce.net](http://www.theforce.net) if you’re in a Star Wars-geeky type of mood. That’s it for now. ---

Reference Desk ([http://www.refdesk.com/](http://www.refdesk.com/)) is an amazing site that has useful links to just about anything you need. I depend on PubMed ([http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed/](http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed/)) to search the medical literature. I’m sure everyone here already knows about the Internet Movie Date Base ([http://us.imdb.com/search.html](http://us.imdb.com/search.html)), but if by some chance you don’t, check it out. ---

Just a few off the top of my head… humor [http://www.nationallampoon.com/](http://www.nationallampoon.com/) looking for someone? [http://www.whowhere.lycos.com/](http://www.whowhere.lycos.com/) bad movie reviews that take you into every scene? [http://www.jabootu.com/](http://www.jabootu.com/) Historic places [http://www.cr.nps.gov/nr/nrhome.html](http://www.cr.nps.gov/nr/nrhome.html) Bizarre [http://www.forteantimes.com/index3.html](http://www.forteantimes.com/index3.html) Even more bizarre [http://www.sightings.com/](http://www.sightings.com/) One of my favorite singers [http://www.jpshrine.org/lyrics.htm](http://www.jpshrine.org/lyrics.htm) enough for now. ---

The two sites (besides the SD) that I visit daily: [http://www.brunching.com](http://www.brunching.com) [http://www.lileks.com](http://www.lileks.com) I also like: [http://www.csicop.org](http://www.csicop.org) [http://www.skepdic.com](http://www.skepdic.com) [http://www.quackwatch.com](http://www.quackwatch.com) ---

And a really cool way to learn the [Dakota language](http://www.alliance2k.org/daklang1/daklang1.html), using colour charts instead of written phonemes. ---

Of course, any site with such a strong pro-Mariner bias is great with me. ---
