# Bestiality question

Leaving aside the question of why I want to know, when people reference men having sex with animals, do they mean vaginal sex with female animals or anal sex with any animal? Other than the snide stories of European royalty, do women have sex with animals?

There’s no standard. Ask the person in question if the issue is important to you.

You mean you believe this never happens? I doubt any of us can think up a single sexual act that hasn’t been performed by anyone ever.

Yes - there are female bestialists, just like there’s male. There just happens to be less of them. If you really want to find them, google can bring up a lot of results.
Some people who are into bestiality prefer to refer to it as ‘zoophilia’ as well. That may help you if you’re wanting to know more. “Manawolf” is someone who describes herself as a “platonic zoophile”, “Ebon Lupus” calls himself a canidaephile, and both of them have essays on their sites relating to bestiality (and their justifications for it).

Oddly enough I remember a beastiality conversation among several friends in highschool that challenged what we thought of as a standard assumption (though we recognized a baseless one) that zoophilia was generally anal.
Everyone agreed that it is probably often vaginal, but also agreed that for some reason we _associated_ zoophilia with anal zoophilia on some fundamental level.
Just thought it interesting that all these years later I find someone asking a question based on the same assumption.
By the way, that conversation never conjectured anything actually helpful in resolving the question. The conversation pretty much ended with one guy saying:
“Well, if I was doing it with a male dog, I’d at least be cool enough to give him a reach-around.”

[Donkey shows](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donkey_show) were notoriously supposed to take place in Tijuana. I’m not sure how common the actual shows were, but considering that this stuff is frequent enough on the internet I don’t know why it should be that surprising.

Do you mind sharing exactly what happened? This is a very curious sounding phenomenon. I understand it may be difficult for you to conjure the memories, but remember: this is the Dope. Ignorance needs to be fought.

Not only do they, I would guess that female bestiality is probably more common than male, despite the fact that men are more likely to be into various paraphilias then women. The sheer availability of dogs vs the availability of animals with an orifice suitable for a man would seem to dictate this.

Probably because the most obvious position would be, um…doggy style.
I know that’s not the same as anal, but makes anal more _obvious_.

Musician/Comedian/Photojournalist Lahna Turner happened upon a Donkey Show while doing a photo study of Mexican prostitutes.
I submit this image in the same spirit in which the photographer first posted it- for documentary interest, not for prurient titilation.
In case you’re worried, the image is not as graphic as it could have been. She chose to post an “immediately after” photo rather than a “during” photo. Still, it is more graphic than some would like.
