Dr. Crusher could be annoying, but at least she had a clearly defined role on the ship. _Deanna Troi_ on the other hand, was sanctimonious, annoying, useless and seemed to have no purpose on the show than to flash cleavage at the straight guys in the audience. ---

You are correct and the people disagreeing with you might need to rewatch S2 because there’s a respectable amount of back and forth about Pulaski’s treatment of Data and I find the slightly bug-eyed outrage over her skepticism hilarious. I also never saw L.A. Law which I suspect colors some people a tetch too far. ---

It hasn’t aged well, so it can be pretty painful even if the show shares your general political bent. I didn’t realize they put so many of these lines into Dr. Crusher’s mouth, but it makes sense. ---
