You know those, if you could take one book to an island, what would it be questions?

Should the bible be considered one book?

If anthologies are allowed, yes. It seems fair to count it if you could count things like _The Norton Anthology of English Literature_ or _The Complete Works of William Shakespeare_.

Aren’t the Bible and the works of Shakespeare normally included _gratis_ in the desert island picks type questions?

Story I heard recently - [G.K. Chesterton](http://ic.net/~erasmus/RAZ27.HTM), the Christian authour and apologist (??) was asked which book he would take to a desert island. One might have expected his answer to be the Bible, but instead he chose _Thomas’s Guide to Practical Shipbuilding_.
