I noticed something Cecil didn’t mention that would seem pertinent to the tale of Charles Innes. Was Innes reading [Matthew 5:29]([Matthew - The Genealogy of Jesus the Messiah - Bible Gateway](http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew) 5:29) and taking Jesus’s comment a bit too literally?
