I have known many traditional/deeply religious couples, but the rule seems pretty much true that to the degree to which the husband is not a jerk, he helps out at home. There is no coorelation that I have observed between helping with housework and degree of religiosity. It’s just another excuse in the husband’s quiver (so to speak). ---

Perhaps, instead of always asking why so many women want confident, successful partners – especially since these are generally valued traits, in and out of romantic situations, and the general value of confidence or financial security barely needs to be questioned – more people should be asking why some men _don’t_ want women with the same characteristics. (Though perhaps the answer’s too obvious, especially in light of this particular thread?) ---
