Perhaps $28 was reasonable in 1949. If I remember, I’ll try to find some online newspaper and magazine archives. Perhaps I can find ads for new bikes, or classified ads for used bikes.
I was talking about the "mag’ (tuff wheels) BMX scrambler. Not sure if you meant the same model. They came with Tange forks and were $125 in the summer of 1976. We had a Schwinn dealership in town called "Sail-n-Trail. Don’t know if their price on par with other dealerships.
