# Biden says trump not a fan of (biden's) predecessor and successor? ...I don't understand

from ABC news Biden describing his conversation with Trump.

This sounds like Biden is saying Trump was not a big fan of Biden’s predecessor and successor. which would be Trump…so this sounds like Trump is not a big fan of Trump.

Clearly I’m missing something in translation. Any help?

Jimmy Carter is mentioned in the preceding paragraph; that’s to whom he talked, and who ‘he’ refers to.

thank you. This make so much more sense, since most of the article hinged on his conversation with Trump, I passed over the fact that he was talking about Carter…Reading is hard sometimes.
