To be fair, I completely agree with the minimal “argument” that you’ve presented here. And yet it’s not for any of the reasons that you’ve put forward, but you haven’t actually done such a thing. I just happen to agree with it because I happen to think the same way. But I don’t have any way to justify it. It just feels true. Do you have something more than a gut feeling that says it’s a waste of taxpayer money? Because I could say that meat inspectors are a waste of taxpayers money, and some people might agree or disagree, but they’d actually bring reasons why they felt that way in a discussion instead of just stating what their opinion in and asking why other people’s opinions aren’t their own.
People who believe the lies would not believe the truth. Paying attention to the lie only gives the lie a larger audience. The era of truth is over, truth no longer matters. The only way to fight their lies is to lie ourselves.
Why bother if they already think that any media but the one they like is lying.
I think the idea is to lie to stir up your own base. If lying to the base increases turnout, then you can’t have only one side do it if you want to win. Democrats keep bringing sporks to a knife fight.
How about, “Because RW media is fucking the minds of generations of Americans, making them make backwards, and genuinely stupid choices by lying to them constantly.”
We promote exercise and healthy eating. We should also promote being able to think properly.
