Be interesting to see how [Factcheck.org](http://Factcheck.org) calls the debate and the various exaggerations. I really wish it was possible for them to scroll answers at the bottom of the screen when one or the other candidate starts playing fast and loose with the facts… -XT ---

Yeah. That whole back and forth, starting with the “I know what it’s like” and ending with the “He’s no maverick,” was where Joe Biden won. Too bad only 5 people were still watching at that point. ---

I think Biden came off as knowledgeable, experienced and sensitive. I think Palen came off as waaaay too folksy and cute. Too many winks. Maybe it’s just because I’m from Missouri and we don’t like be patronized, but I don’t like someone winkin’ at me. Dontchaknow. ---

Looks like a clear Biden win to me. No surprise there… Sarah did much better than I expected, but she had no depth. Lots of prepared speeches, no real content. ---

I’m reminded of a section from National Lampoon’s “Deteriorata:” “Rest assured that a walk through the ocean of most souls would scarce get your feet wet; fall not in love, therefore, it will stick to your face.” That woman is wafer thin… Oh yeah, and all you weenie waggers out there pay attention to the second half of that quote! If you can all stop snickering “that’s what SHE said” for just one second, that is… ---

The factcheck crawl would be much better than the various lines CNN uses. Overall, both did better than expected. Sarah Palin started really strong but got a little shakier as the night went. Biden? Not as looney as advertised. Came off well if a little of a political wonk. Got some good shots in. And I’d also like a quote on the maverick shootdown. Missed it while getting a pork brine going.
