One thing that should have been noticed long ago is that DJT can read the setting and adapt to what will be best for him in that setting. I know many here consider it blasphemous to attribute him ANY skill or guile, but **for purposes of closing a sale, Donald Trump CAN be effective when he can be arsed to try.** It’s just that by now in most circumstances he believes he’s above needing to close the sale, it’s just what he’s owed and someone else should do it for him. I never presumed we’d get “unhinged rambling Trump” from the start. Agree with those who say Biden’s prep team may have overemphasized the “show how much better informed you are, he’ll be just bullshitting” angle.
