I woke up and Jojo was on the headboard with the Siamese. Wut??? I heard a purring choir singin’ to just me. I savored it about a minute and a half. And Bear woke up and all hell broke loose. Jojo was in Meekos cuddle pod. Meeko slept in Bears with him. Bear was not amused. The chase was on. I love wars before breakfast. Makes for a pleasant start to your day. More later… ---

Bayliss is so above the chaos. He’s a saint. Jojo doesn’t want anything to do with him. BTW. I’ve befriended a squirrel on my deck. He’s a teenager and hungry all the time. We’ve been putting peanuts on the rail. I have no wish to pet him. I’ve been broken hearted about many squirrels out here. They are fickle creatures. I will not fall in love, I will not fall in love. I have no authoritative opinion on befriending squirrels. What I will say, though, @Beckdawrek, is that we share a love of animals. When I was a kid at our country cottage, I befriended a squirrel who learned to come up to me and let me hand-feed him peanuts. It all ended when my evil cousin came for a visit and decided to exploit this friendly squirrel by trapping him in a cage, because … fun, right? Bastard! I never saw that squirrel again. Anyway, thanks **Beck** for keeping us updated about the festivities at the Wreker household. I’m particularly keen on more news of Jojo’s adaptation to domestic life, and of course, as always, news of Bayliss (my hero in all this). ---

We’re under storm warnings. Jojo doesn’t like bad weather. He farted(a typo, but a nice one, I must say. I meant “darted”) in the cat door to the garage. He came right to me for solace. I calmed him. I gave him a treat and lots of hugs and pats. He’s sitting by the cat flap, sticking his head out occasionally. He’s worried for Hari. They meow at each other through the door. It’s rather sweet. He is a good cat, overall. Not perfect, but good. He goes Monday to get his drained pulled out. The Vet says he’s good to go. 😌 ---
