I would also point out that Leonard,as a research physicist, would likely be working using a research grant and have at least one or two people working for him in reality. ---

I came away with the feeling that the writer’s are moving toward a conciliation of some kind between Sheldon and Kripke. Also, this is CalTech, both physicists and engineers doing what Howard is said to have done make a lot more money than the show suggests, and much more than a new PhD like Bernadette. ---

By the time they got around to making [the second pilot](http://bigbangtheory.wikia.com/wiki/Pilot) they had replaced Walsh with Kaley Cuoco. ---
