Mrs. Homie thinks Alex’s character is being developed as a disruption to the Leonard/Penny relationship. Thoughts? ---

I still love the character but I’m not digging her apathy towards Leonard. But yeah, I agree with your wife. And it would be a welcomed disruption IMO. I think it’s time for Penny to be the one who has to feel insecure for a change. ---

Penny seems to have been subsumed into an extended Drew Barrymore imitation.\* The sideways smile and other expressions are just out-of-the-blue new to the Penny character. I absolutely snorted with laughter over Sheldon’s revenge prank. But the pathos of his plea for privacy was also illuminating. I like that they are humanizing him slowly. I mean, really, who woudl have thought that he yearned so for anything? Somebody cue AFF to book a trip in a Superliner Roomette. . . hubba, hubba! \*Wanna know how old I am? Not only did I forget her name, but to find it I googled “E.T.”. That, my friend, is _olde_. ---

Although I enjoy all the characters, I do agree with you – there is no need to feature every single one in each and every episode. Having one with just the original core cast was refreshing! ---

And another thing … My first thought on seeing the “43” was wondering if they deliberately picked one-off from THHGTTG’s 42 for a reason. Yep. ---

A little surprised that Raj got that wrong. (Maybe he was just tired.) When we first started watching the show, it took us the better half of the episode to figure out it was the same actor who was on _Bones_. I don’t think he is borderline at all. His American accent is very good. ---
