How old are these images? I _think_ I found where my house should be, but it is a vacant lot. These condos were built in '94 I think… ---

Demo, last time I looked, there was a date attached with the image. However, I found it to be incorrect on one of the locations I searched. Wow, if everyone posted their location, this could be THE slowest loading thread on SDMB. * * * A point in every direction is like no point at all ---

It’s Logan Circle- six blocks east of DuPont. That’s all you’re gonna get; I am holed up in a defensive position & am protected by bars, so don’t get any funny ideas… 😉 The dates I saw were 1993 & '94. There was a large empty lot on my circle that is now being built up with ridiculously overpriced condos, but it still shows up as a vacant lot at terrasever. ---

Cool! Found our airport, and the outskirts of Eagle Grove, but couldn’t home in on the actual town. Neat though! Funny, I checked around for some of the bigger towns in Iowa, and many of them didn’t have a photo, just the topo map. Doesn’t take much to make an Eagle Grodian [sic] feel special! ---

## I’ve been rather upset with Terraserver since they went online. They have completely done Rhode Island, and since my town sits on the Mass-RI border, they have almost all of it. Except part of it. My part of it. My neighbor to the south’s driveway (but not his house) made it on the picture, but not his house or my yard/house. Grrrrr… Jeremy… Nobody ever calls me after they’ve done something smart. ---

I love Terraserver… Haevn’t been in years though. Some of the pics are only a few years old, others go back to the 80s. They have a page of “interesting places” that takes you right to things like the Egyptian Pyramids or other fancy places. I was able to find my apartment, but it cut off literally feet from my workplace. Too bad, I would have loved to see how it showed 30 acres of trees waiting to be sold and planted. Also, I noticed that at 1m resolution it becomes apparent that according to the image of O’Hare International and my apartment, my apartment building is smaller than some of those aircraft. * * * “I guess one person can make a difference, although most of the time they probably shouldn’t.” ---

The back of my house is all empty lot, now it’s all cheap houses with people who like their music loud all the time. oops, I’m ranting, sorry
