Big News for the Wii

Wrong in the sense that people would want to download a bunch of things. Rock Band and Guitar Hero are lesser games on the Wii because of some clunky way of handling downloadable content.

In any case, it’s good to see that the capabilities of the Wii have been increased.

Hijack:

Didn’t I hear that Netflix Streaming Videos were going to come to Wii ?

In any event, I guess I should break down and buy my first HD card.

What do you guys think?

Will it hold Channels as well as Game Save Data? ((I had to let Everyone Votes and others go, to make way for Tetris Party.))

Me not know, but I think I’d be surprised.

Huh. I never knew what that glow was. I guess I should turn on my Wii again sometime soon to make it stop glowing, it’s literally been doing that for months and I haven’t had a single thought about it.

Re: the OP, about time! If it had been that way from the start I might have gotten Rock Band 2 for the Wii instead of the PS3, or at least it would have been a difficult decision (since my friends have RB1 on the Wii it would make for easier portability for parties, plus the free RB1 library, plus the second guitar for free…).

The Classic Controller has one more shouler button than the GC controller, not one less. But I think Nintendo forced GC games to be played with a GC controller because people want their backwards compatible games to be played with a similar style controller.

Playing N64 games with the Classic Controller is a bit of a bitch and I would love an N64-style Wii controller.

The new SD card storage solution was designed to hold Channels (and VC/WiiWare games). Nintendo still expects people to save game data on the Wii’s internal memory.

As for Netflix streaming, Netflix executives want it to happen, but it’s still a long way from being a reality.

Right you are. But they are at the utmost of awkwardness. I fail to see how the inner shoulder buttons can be pressed without pressing the outer ones, or bending fingers in ways they were not meant to go.

Agreed. That’s why they’re releasing the Classic Controller Pro in Japan this Summer.

I give it until Christmas before it’s released in the USA too.
