Big Ten rule change for Wrigley Field game

I last time I went to a college game (Ga Tech) I had seats about the 10 yd line of the North End Zone. Practically all the “action” was at the South End of the Field. I can imagine the people with seats at the East end of the field will be short-changed.

The seats in the left field bleachers are a long way from the field.

Thinking outside the box, what would have been the big deal if they had just shortened the field from 100 yds to 95 yds. Make the kickoffs 5 yards deeper.

ESPN Game day said that it will be tight quarters in the locker-room, especially the visiting locker-room. Players will have to double up on lockers and there is only 8 shower-heads. COZY.

All in all, I think the decision to play this game in Wrigley Field sounds like an example of the Abilene Paradox.

I’ll probably catch a few plays this afternoon, for the novelty. But my main focus will be osu v iowa today.

Is this anything like playing half-court basketball?

Looks like they’re selling beer there at least.

Northwestern senior, Rashawn Miller, a Biology major from Gary, Indiana, said playing on this field was so awkward and stupid, he felt like an actual Chicago Cub.

In hindsight, it was a lot like a Cubs game in another respect: the visiting team kept running around the field while the home team stood helpless.
