I’m sure this has been discussed but who here has had an encounter? There are at least two shows dedicated to them. Personally I think they are induced by drugs, alcohol or some combination of the two. I also do not watch the shows but one today was titled New Evidence. I would love to see any evidence. Hopefully some one here has had a Bigfoot incident? ---

Now that so many people are walking around with cameras in their pockets all the time, one would expect the amount of Bigfoot pics to rise accordingly, if the creature existed. I do not think this has happened, and hence this is very strong evidence the vast majorty of sightings and pictures are hoaxes. Yes, an XKCD comic addressed this, but I thought this before, and the comic mistakenly called this proof. It’s not proof, it’s just strong evidence. ---

I’d accept a carcass vivisected by University of California veterinarian. Until then it is just crazy people, anthropomorphizing a frightening and unclear event at night, or a hoax that the witness is either in on or not. ---

If they find a carcass, great. I’m not willing to write the idea of bigfoot off, but I’d like to see more evidence. A carcass that is dissected and has various DNA tests (DNA, mitochondrial DNA) would be nice. ---

I always felt if they existed we would find spoor or scat. It is odd to me that there are enough oddballs that believe in this carp to warrant two (or more) shows. ---

I watch the shows for the SNARK value. One guy said while sitting in the woods during a rainstorm that Bigfoot was the smartest animal in the Woods. Low standards. ---

I accept the idea that up till about the late 1970’s their was some sort of creature living in the Pacific Northwest. That to me, was about the last time a credible sighting was reported. Also I feel any left died in the Mt. St. Helens eruption plus some forest fires in the area. Now Les Stroud, aka Survivorman, did have an odd experience in Alaska in 2009 and has a new show out where he goes looking for Bigfoot. [LINK](http://lesstroud.ca/news/survivorman-bigfoot) ---

I thought Bigfoot was supposed to be some sort of primate, not a fish? Then again, I guess that would explain why he’s so koi. 😃 A coworker of mine thinks he has a skunk ape\* in the woods around him. A couple times his animals have been very agitated and he’s heard strange sounds from the woods and smelled something really bad. I am still waiting for him to show me some pictures. \*The skunk ape is the Florida version of Bigfoot. ---

With Game Cameras being nearly ubiquitous in hunting areas, you would think there be credible photos of ape-like photos. Game Cameras have got photos of mountain lions near my hometown and I had no idea that there were mountain lions around me. ---

I saw one on my 20th birthday a long time ago. I don’t know if it was the original one, from the movie or not It was at a mud-bog event, Sam Boyd Silver Bowl, Las Vegas, long before “MonsterJam” was a thing. Ape-like creature? Sorry. Doesn’t exist. ---

This one is a head-scratcher for me, as well. I have to wonder if (smart) people who claim to believe in Bigfoot/Sasquatch/whatever, are doing it for shits and giggles the way I suppose the Flat Earth Society “believers” do. ---

And yes, there have been alleged Bigfoot encounters in Arizona, but I’d put my money on those really being bear encounters. ---

They were able to track that wolf as it returned north. But, no Bigfoots? I’d like to think Bigfoot is real, as is the Loch Ness monster, and the Yeti, and UFOs, but a consistent lack of any credible evidence keeps me from accepting they exist. ---

I mean, no one is going to give a regular tv gig to the “It Was Aliens!” guy if every time he went on the shows, he’d say, “Well, it wasn’t aliens, _obviously_”. People go squirrelly in the woods all the time. My SWAG analysis is that 90% of “encounters” are “freaked-out suburbanites who heard or saw something they didn’t understand.” Then maybe 5% total fakery, and another 5% that might be…something. The woods are huge in some areas, so I can’t totally discount it. But I don’t think that the Finding Bigfoot dorks are really calling and attracting Bigfoots (Bigfeet?) as they go crashing through the forest. ---
