> You know, it’s disturbing to me that fellow progressives are so invested in their heroes that they can’t admit that those heroes were far from perfect and that we can and should do better in the future. Maybe you’re perfectly happy to be just a little bit better than the GOP. Me, I prefer we set our bar a lot higher.

How did we get from “not as bad as some people say” to “perfect”? Lots of people in this thread have pointed out that Bill was a lying, cheating horndog. That’s already an acceptance of the fact that he was “far from perfect”, and he certainly isn’t a “hero”. The question is whether he committed sexual assault and/or rape, and there is ample evidence to cast doubt on (but not - and let’s be clear here - refute) those accusations.

Such evidence is not present in the Moore case, despite Moore supporters actively attempting to manufacture some (see the robocall and the Veritas-linked accuser). In fact I’d argue that the attempts to manufacture false counterevidence support the idea that real counterevidence doesn’t exist.

Hardly. Do please read posts you’re replying to before you reply to them. I’m getting bored with reminding you.

Excellent idea.

Feel free to stop whenever the boredom becomes too much to bear. In the meantime:

Nobody else is saying anyone was perfect, **QS**.

Except Bernie.
