Create a voting bloc that _must_ be accommodated. “Hillary, we will vote for you, but Bill has to stay out.” He can come visit in the daytime, but he has to use the restroom at the gas station down the street. ---

I’d be fine with Sanders, and I still may vote for him, but by far my biggest motivator to vote is to ensure the Republicans don’t regain the WH. Even if the OP is right about everything, Hillary (and Bill’s penis) are still far, far better than any Republican alternative, should she get the nomination. ---

If I’m reading this right, **foolsguinea** is not just insulting Hillary by presuming she’s her husband’s creature despite having a substantial record of her own (for good or ill) as a Senator and Cabinet Secretary, **foolsguinea** is accusing anyone who’d vote for Hillary as a redpiller or self-hating woman.:rolleyes: That’s some serious judo shit: flipping around support for a woman Presidential candidate as anti-feminist MRA bullshit. And it starts from presuming that because Hillary got her start in politics from being Bill’s wife – a proposition I won’t dispute – then nothing she accomplished or tried to accomplish as Senator or Secretary of State is hers but somehow actually Bill’s.:eek: To use an obscure analogy, Truman managed to transcend his political beginnings in the corrupt Prendergast machine, and that was a helluva lot more relevant to Truman’s merits than Bill being a horndog is to Hillary’s. ---

It will be a minor shame if the first female president of the US is the wife of a former president. Makes the milestone sort of, well, not quite fully complete. Still, that is no reason not to vote for her. Nor is having an obsession about her husband’s pee-pee. ---

I agree with this, and I’d add that it’s a shame that we seem to be in this weird interval of the presidency being passed back and forth among two families. That’s genuinely appalling, and it’s to be hoped that it’s a weird spike, no some inevitable concentration of power that will hold itself together going forward. But none of that is a reason to vote Republican.
