Who do you think would win in a fight between Bill Nye and Beakman? Let’s say we give them 10 minutes time with unlimited raw resources to construct something to aid in the fight. My money’s on Beakman, I think. He’d probably just ask to borrow Lester the Rat’s socks and throw them at Bill so he’d pass out. ---

I thought Beakman had some cute assistants. They could distract Nye with offers to do some special “experiments.” ---

It’s a tough one, but I’ll have to go with Bill Nye, I mean, he did spend that time doing “Battlebots,” so he probably has some wicked killer ideas. ---

Bill Nye is straight up legits… I just saw him in an episode of Numbers a couple of week ago. Beakman lives in box somewhere… seriously, has this guy done anything else? ---

Bill. Let us not forget that he was the Chief Scientific Advisor for BattleBots Season 1. If Beakman tried a single thing, one kick ass battle bot would swoop down and destroy him. Beakman was a bit odd, but Bill was the straight up legit. If I was building a nuke, I know that Bill would be the first person I talk to, not Beakman. ---

Bill Nye in a walkover. In his Seattle days, he was a pretty serious cyclist. I found one cite that he completed the Cannonball twice. That’s Seattle-to-Spokane, 275 miles, crossing the Cascade Mountains and then Eastern-Washington desert, in one day. Beakman gets tired after the first 20 seconds, and then Nye owns him. ---

Beakman is portrayed by an actor. …Bill Nye was a local Seattle actor who was a featured player on “Almost Live” a sketch comedy show produced in Seattle for the Northwest market. Bill Nye “Blank” Guy was a long running bit on the show. Bill Nye Single Guy is the one I remember at this moment. He also played characters like Speedwalker a super hero who… ah you get the idea. That Bill Nye is a real, real real-type real scientist, blows me away. I thought he was maybe a science geek who had used that to base a character on and then it took off from there. ---

Speedwalker! It was a long standing debate with a friend of mine whether or not Bill Nye enhanced his hypnotic package of jumblies during the Speedwalker close-up slo-mo sequences. But dammit, straight or gay, you just couldn’t tear your eyes from the screen! ---

I don’t know who might win, but I know who I’d root for. Having met the man, I can say without reservation that Bill Nye is a serious jerk. I’d like to see Beakman…or anyone for that matter…pulverize that asshat. ---
