That’s not too far off from being correct. O’Reilly has a strong Populist streak and he often rants aginst “bigness”, be it government or business. He claims to be a champion of the little guy, or “the folks” as he likes to say. You know, folks as in das Volk.
Just kidding about that last part!
I’m sure I could find some if I weren’t so lazy and easily…oooh! shiny!
Thanks for the best laugh I’ve had all morning.

Obviously, and had I read the joke (I assume you’re referring Gorsnak’s post) I wouldn’t have bothered to elaborate on a point already so concisely explicated. Don’t say “um” to me; it’s condescending.
We could have a regular forum on the SDMB called “Stupidity From Bill O’Reilly”; surely every day would bring a new thread. No wonder Al Franken loves having O’Reilly around.
Um… Baldwin, even if it took you 29 minutes to compose your comment and hit “Submit Reply”, you still had an opportunity to note Gorsnak’s pithier rendition of your thought before posting. You either chose not to do so or didn’t think to do so.
IMO, pointing out the obvious to the dull, the slow or the oblivious is the very purpose of condescension.

O’Reilly hates the working middle class. They are the only ones who would be hurt by such a scheme.

I was drawing a conclusion based on his no-gas-on-Sundays plan.
Wouldn’t be nearly as much fun otherwise.
There is too such a publication as the Paris Business Review! They won a Peabody!
I’m not buying gas today. Off the establishment!
Then again I was planning on going anywhere today nor do I need gas.

Maybe if they raised gas prices, they could get Bill O’Reilly to call for a Saturday boycott, too. Mo money, mo money…
