a. “How does it feel?”
b. Not an interview, but a taunt in a song, intended to hurt.
c. Nothing wrong with the question, but it shouldn’t be the only arrow in your quiver.
I do agree that Gates isn’t a great interviewer. He asks questions that they are compelled to answer in a certain way. It’s interesting information but I’m not going to feel bad because someone 5 generations back did something bad. I’m not going to feel good about something good they did either. But with the cameras in my face I might find the need to jazz it up.
