**ThisYearsGirl** Don’t take this the wrong way, but if you use a good search engine, and type in a few words such as (_billy the kid_ _pardon_) you will come up with quite a few hits such as [this](http://www.currentargus.com/2001/February/1/r-kid%20pardon.htm) . Again, we rant and rave around here about using a search engine before you post/ask a question. This would have been an easy one to practice on. I notice you have enough posts to qualify as a _lifer_ here. Sorry if you take this as an insult. ---

Thank for the advice, sam, but I used the search engine, but didn’t find what I was looking for. All the results were just brief articles, and I’m trying to find information on the actual group trying to get the pardon. ---

Well, then, you go back to Google, use the term _Ben Rios_ from my link(the legislator who is pushing the issue), and find a link such as [this](http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:www.currentargus.com/2001/February/2/r-no%2520pardon.htm+%22ben+rios%22+%22billy+the+kid%22&hl=en) . It says a guy who claims to be a great grandson of Billy the Kid is one of the instigators. Whether the fellow is truly related is speculative. You can take it from here. ---

**Sam** ’s sites are as good as anything I’ve seen. It wasn’t anything I had a lot of information on, just something that I had seen that seemed pertinent to that original thread. (IMNAAHO, someone who claims to be a descendant sounds as though they are looking for a bit of collateral glory. Bonney had at least one sort-of-serious girlfriend, but I have never seen a reference to her (or any of the local prostitutes) bearing him a child. That doesn’t mean it didn’t happen, but it seems unlikely that it would have gone unremarked among all the biographies and commentaries on his life.)
