# Bird Diet

It’s snowing and I can see some starlings outside my window, walking around in the snow, pecking at the ground. What are they eating? Birds have a high metabolism and it’s the wrong time of year for bugs. Why aren’t they starving to death?

In the case of starlings, they are probably eating seeds.
