# Bird ID

I was just out on the deck, and I saw birds I have not seen before.

Description: About the size of a sparrow, or maybe a little bigger. Dark grey wings, yellow body, red faces.

Location: Northwest Washington coast, about four or five miles south of the Canadian border.

Looks like they could have been [Western](https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Western_Tanager/id) [tanagers](http://www.audubon.org/field-guide/bird/western-tanager).
