# Birds and the Bees

Is there a way to describe sex that involves birds and bees?

Not sex, _per se_, but procreation. Birds lay eggs that hatch baby birds and most little kids have seen this. Bees move from flower to flower, dragging polen to the pistils from the stamens. The pistil then directs the pollen to the ovary where the seed formation begins.
So, between the bees having (fairly innocuous) sex with the flowers and the birds giving birth to babies, one can describe most of the actions required for procreation _without_ having to actually describe that nasty, sweaty stuff that people do a few months prior to a baby’s arrival.

So there is no story? Why do people act as if there is? When someone says they are going to explain the B’s & B’s there a good chance neither birds or bees will be discused?
