Shout-out to **Mr. Charlie Parker,** who would have been 97 years young today. If you’re lucky enough to still have a local jazz radio station, tune in in hopes of catching an all-night, all-frantic birthday broadcast where the music is in a real crazy groove.

It’s also been 50 years since Coltrane died. Renewed our gift to KCSM San Francisco and got a 10 CD set of Coltrane along with a great T-shirt. KCSM streams online, as does KMHD Portland. Of the two, I think KCSM is better.
