You know, let me just start by saying that this type of shit enrages me more than anything else being spewed as part of the bullshit political rhetoric today. I can over look OBAMA IS A TERRORISTS!!!1111!!! with a minor eye roll, but this shit effects me directly and maybe my rage is entirely selfish, but I really do feel like this shit right here should piss _everyone_ off. The Federal VP of Family PAC went on Fox News the other day and said the following brilliance (the most enraging bits bolded by me). What do they have against breast pumps? Seems kinda perverse to say that people who have sex should just resign themselves to being pregnant constantly and then rail against buying them breast pumps. If your going to be constantly churning out babies all the time, you could at least help feed all the Jr’s. ---

Because the long term effects are those that benefit greater society as a whole. The law in question also offers free HIV and STD testing, cancer screenings, etc. Speaking as someone without insurance, if I get some horrible crotch or tit cancer and end up in the ER, I promise I have no way of paying my astronomical medical expenses. Fortunately, I can afford to pay full price in a doctor’s office for all the annual screenings I need. But when I was in college? There’s no way. Preventive screening is much cheaper than the cost of treating someone’s cancer in a hospital for free. Or birthing a baby without insurance-- my friend who had a baby at 20 has never paid her $40k hospital bill for that. ---
