Today is my 77th birthday and, as usual, I still don’t know what I want to be if and when I grow up. Looking back on all these years I think I must have learned something but I don’t know what. Anyway, I never thought I would live this long—I like to think there’s a reason that I have but it’s probably just luck. ---

Congratulations and happy birthday !!! On the subject of what to be when you grow up, I would suggest going to the nearest fire department and tell them you want to be a fireman. They would love it and more importantly, chicks dig the uniform. ---

Happy birthday indeed! I’m rather chuffed with the fact that, on the internet, we can communicate completely on par with people of all ages, races, genders, and geographic locations. Thanks to everyone for your good wishes. I’ve had a good day; it has been the kind of day that makes Florida worthwhile. Not a cloud in the sky, temperature in the low 80s with a cooling breeze. Relatively low humidity today but on the downside, the oak trees are pollinating and I’m allergic so I’ve spent the day indoors. ---
