Recently, a [memo](http://two-bit-idiot.tumblr.com/post/77745633839/bitcoins-apocalyptic-moment-mt-gox-may-have-lost) surfaced, stating that approximately 750,000 Bitcoins had been stolen or lost from Mt. Gox, a large Bitcoin exchange. The authenticity of this memo has not been established. Now, Mt. Gox’s website has [disappeared](http://money.cnn.com/2014/02/25/technology/security/mtgox-bitcoin/) and, the company may be [bankrupt](http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/25/business/apparent-theft-at-mt-gox-shakes-bitcoin-world.html?_r=0). Has anyone heard anything further? What does this mean for the future of Bitcoin? ---
