That’s funny; most of the Christians on this board, even some of the fundamentalists, seem to have found a god to worship who’s halfway decent, whereas yours is a bigoted fuck who isn’t fit to lick a dead dog’s ass. What have I done to you that makes me any less than any other human being?
So I am faithless. I’ll grant you that there have been plenty of nasty people throughout history who lacked faith, and some people whose faith inspired them to do great and wonderful things. (I don’t want this to turn into another “atheists vs. theists” debate.)
But you know what? The Spanish Inquisition, Al-Qaeda, most abortion clinic bombers, John Lennon’s assassin…these people were horrible BECAUSE OF THEIR FAITH. Where the fuck do you get off saying that people who believe as I do are worthy of being discriminated against, and people like this are not?

I just have to go ahead and save some of the others the trouble of playing the victim as so many who call themselves conservative do these days. :rolleyes:
Back in my day, conservatives used to denigrate those who played into the culture of victimization. Now-a-days, it’s pop-con chic to go on about how thoroughly victimized conservatives are. Even Rush is complaining that the drug investigation against him is because of his political beliefs. It’s funny when he does it though. :rolleyes:

On second thought, I don’t want him banned for this, although I wouldn’t mind if he were banned in general. But I’ve always maintained that saying stupid, petty-minded things about someone’s religion shouldn’t be grounds for a banning, and the same goes for saying stupid, petty-minded things about someone’s lack of religion. It’s just attacking an idea, and ideas are changable. It’s not at all the same as attacking someone’s race/gender/orientation, which are (generally speaking) immutable.
But if an admin disagrees with me on this, you won’t hear me complaining.
