I rarely participate in pittings, but the quote in the OP is surely one of the stupidest things I’ve ever read. The fact that anyone could say something so distinctly unpleasant, claiming it as a “God given right,” and then go on to call others unpleasant, is both hilarious and sad. I’m glad there aren’t any **Milum** s in my life. ---

Sorry to be the voice of dissent, but I _like_ **Milum**. I hope he sticks around. In my estimation, there’s actually something quite clever inside that thick hide. I just hope he can find a good way to represent himself here. ---

Take a look at it and gaze in sheer wonder. I disagree with those who say he should be banned. I don’t get the venom. Milum didn’t claim that empirically athiests are something. It’s just an opinion. I was kidding about banning someone to “protect our freedom.” That’s heavy sarcasm. I don’t think that it’s “hate speech” either. That’s a great example of why those laws are a bad idea anyway. Who was threatened or harmed in any way by what was said? Canada went after Eminem. Now the Secret Service wants him. Yeesh. France goes after a politician, but not actual anti-Semitic incidents with hate laws. Odd. ---

I feel sorry for him. How _awful_ that someone has so twisted his mind against atheists that he finds it more in accordance with God’s wishes to discriminate against them than to love them. Whatever happened to _blessed are the peacemakers_ and other directives to react with love and not with hate? His faith is being tested, he is failing miserably and doesn’t even know it – all because of some junky twisted teachings by fundamentalist hatemongers. (And I am not at all implying that all or even most fundamentalists are that way.) It must be _awful_ to be that confused and hate-filled. ---

He’s actually improved to the point where many of posts contain _rational information_! Nothing he has posted lately approaches the idiocy of his old sayings, like “The will of the people cannot be denied, even by the people” (AFAIR). Still, he cites almost nothing except the dictionary in GD, which is too bad. ---
