Black Mirror coming back in June

Aaron Paul, Zazie Beets, Kate Mara, Josh Hartnett, Annie Murphy and I think that might have been Salma Hajek for a second. Edit: Apparently Ben Barnes is in too, though I did not see him in the trailer.

This gives a list

It’s unbelievable to me that the show is 12 years old. If I had to guess I would have said half that.

Well it hasn’t been on for a third of that, last season was in 2019.

I generally loved the series. I never got around to Bandersnatch though. When it aired, my tv was too old for it to work. I got a new tv not too long after but by then, I hadn’t heard a single good thing about it so I didn’t bother.

I thought the “Choose Your Own Adventure” episode of Unbreakable Kimmie Schmidt was pretty funny, though.

It was cute and kind of the appropriate thing for that. Bear Grylls has a choose your own adventure that is also fun.

Roger Ebert hated 3D, another gimmick, but he loved Jackass 3D and Werner Herzog’s Cave of Forgotten Dreams(also in 3D). His point was documentaries showing amazing areas and a movie with a bunch of idiot guys doing huge stunts…is kind of what 3D is for.

Narrative movies like The Godfather or Indiana Jones? Uh, no thanks. No need for 3D.

Choose your own adventure is similar.

I like both Kimmie Schmidt and Black Mirror, and had to force myself to watch the choose-your-own-adventure Kimmie, and haven’t watched the Black Mirror one.

I’m too much of an anal completionist… I’d have to go back and go through every possible tree and see every possible path, etc. Too exhausting and stressful.

That is definitely a significant part of why I avoided Bandersnatch as well.

I tried doing the whole thing, took about as long as movie. Though to be honest i could not tell you if i actually did.

I can’t wait!

And while I agree there are plenty of episodes that suck, I’d still rather watch those than 90% of the rest of television. Especially if if there’s a chance it’s might be one of the ones that is in the upper .001%!

I enjoyed Bandersnatch very much. It was the episode that introduced me to the series. The second one I saw was White Bear which was ROUGH. But awesome in it’s horrifying reveal at the end…

I think I was the most appalled by White Bear, but the most horrified by White Christmas.

Crocodile is the episode that stuck with me the most. The episode after which I needed a bath to cleanse myself of was Fifteen Million Credits.

“Shut up and dance” for me. At least the later seasons have some happy episodes.

And here I will get tomatoes thrown at me when I reiterate my opinion that San Junipero is in fact a terrifying nightmare where your body dies but your mind is trapped in a never changing digital reality forever and ever.

They explicitly said you are not trapped there and can pass on whenever you feel like. There were no hints at all that this was not true.

It’s optional and you can leave at any time.

White Christmas does have the most horrific ending of all of them.

Yes. That’s a nightmare I literally wouldn’t wish on anyone
