Black parents have a White non-albino baby?

It didn’t escape my attention that his name is Cox, quite an ordinary English surname.

You can see all that? Babies look like old men to me.

What about when she’s older and wants to run for PM? Look at all the flack about his name that Barack Hussein Obama has had to put up with?
:stuck_out_tongue:

This happened a few years ago, although in that case it was a set of twins, with one born white and the other black - although in that case both parents were mixed race. So it is possible that the baby is genetically the child of both parents - but I guess we’ll see.

Black babies, in particular, are often born with much lighter skin tone than they’ll have when they age, I’m told.

I’ve read this post at least 15 times and I just can’t grasp it. So you think one of them is shocked, yet not surprised. That makes no sense. Shocked is surprised x10. How can you be shocked and yet not surprised?

I assume you’re saying he was cuckolded. Then the mother would be surprised, yes, but not shocked, so it wouldn’t be “a shock to both of them”.

I don’t get it. Someone help. :frowning:

Punch line of old racist joke:

Refers to doctor’s manual: You are cutting on the wrong n*gger.

You’ve got it right. The joke is that the mom had an affair with a white man. She was surprised that the baby turned out white, but not shocked.

You’ve got better joke instincts than you give yourself credit for… trust them.

Why the heck would it be a problem to name the baby Dumebi?

Other kids will call her some variation of “dumb”.

An internet-famous, related pic.

I gather you were never teased about your name as a kid? I was. As a means of self defense you learn to recognize every possible bad name that can be made from other names when you have it done to you. Kids can be mean.

What umop said. In particular, Dumb Baby pops to mind.

And if you have a name that kids can’t tease you about, they’ll tease you about your hair, or being short/tall, or wearing dorky shoes, or having a lisp or your last name or anything else.

What gets me is the baby’s hair. If you ever known a black women, you’ll understand about hair
