In my defense, I stated “lawless area”. And while Montana is known (not totally unjustifiably) for some legal whackadoo’s, overall they are a law abiding bunch (I grew up there, for a bit, my wife for much longer). Sucks that some rather slick con-artist almost got away with it, but it looks like they managed to get stopped. I would love to see what would happen the first time some non-cop APF dude tried to pull over a truck full of good ol’ boys. ---

Yankton College in Yankton, SD went belly up, sat idle and empty for a while, and then was leased by the Federal Government as a prison, supposedly to house “white collar” criminals; tax evaders like Al Capone and the like. I don’t know where they got their guards but the inmates were allowed to work out outside the gym building in the summer----they appeared to be anything but meek and mild tax evaders. Meek and mild guards wouldn’t have lasted a day with those guys. Some of the local women immediately took up jogging and since there was a good sidewalk all the way around the prison grounds, they elected to jog there. In shorts and halter tops. The prison officials placed a full paged add in the local paper requesting the local idiot women to find another place to jog. I’ll never understand people. ---
