# Blind film actors?

I’ve heard of a few blind actors in stage productions, and we’ve all seen Marlee Matlin, a deaf actress.

But my question is; are there any blind actors or actresses, who work in film or TV?

[Tom Sullivan](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0838384/) is probably the best known blind film actor. He has made guest appearances on many TV shows. Here’s a [recent article](http://www.ican.com/news/fullpage.cfm/articleid/DEB58DF4-E036-4D81-BBFF4153E83D82FF/cx/self_discovery.role_models/article.cfm) which discusses his work as a consultant on the movie _Daredevil_.

And on preview I see that **ArchiveGuy** has already mentioned one of my personal favorites, Dana Elcar, who went blind (from glaucoma) while he was a regular on _MacGyver_.

Actor [Esmond Knight](http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0460874/) lost one eye and almost all of the vision in the other eye as a soldier in World War II, but he continued to act in numerous movies until his death in 1987.
