# Blockbuster being sued again over late fees.  The plaintiffs are idiots.

I just got back from Blockbuster, and I got charged a late fee for a movie I brought back the night before it was due. This is the second time this has happened too!! Fucking pricks!!

Here is the problem with Blockbuster. Your vid is due by Noon. If it is not back by NOON, you pay another _period’s_ fee as a “alte fee”. If you turn it in at 1PM - so as they have lost one fucken HOUR of “potential lost revenues”- they charge you the same fee for keeping it out for 5 days. And, as had been said- if you rent the dvd out at Midnite on a 'two day rental" you have until noon the day after- which is 36 hours, not 48.

And, they aren’t very rigorous about checking the vids in on time, either. I now know I have to get them to check the vid in (which takes time) rather that just dropping it in the slot before noon. Because now 3 times i have dropped them off just before noon, and got a late charge I had to fight. They even asked me once to _prove_ I had dropped the film in the slot before noon. :rolleyes:

The point is- BBV, as well as some unscrupulous CC companies- plan & scheme to make most of their profits from late fees. Instead of… wild & crazy idea this… actaull just providing a service. :dubious: :rolleyes:
