Bloom County reference - Need Help

OK, this wasn’t a Bloom County strip but was in the intro to one of the books (which are now either long gone or buried in a box somewhere in the basement). Breathed is talking about some drawing he did back in high school or college, and they had a picture of it in the book. It was a drawing of an astronaut, with a big spray of red paint where the head would be. The picture was titled “Gesundheit”. Any idea what book that was in?

I THINK it was in Bloom County Babylon, but I’m not sure. Maybe Penguin Dreams and Stranger Things.
