I need to dig up my @1984 “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted for Bill and Opus” tee. Meadow Party! We had a Corgi-Beagle mix who reminded me of Rosebud (always thought there was some Basset in there). I never liked BLOOM COUNTY all that much…I remember when it started, and I was “Oooooo-Kay, Doonesbury rip-off.” And I was like, 12. The one Sunday strip that I absolutely loved, though, was when Steve Dallas was in the hospital, and the final panel was the priest shouting “Dear Lord, please don’t let this atheist doofus die!” Also, “Jazz and vegetables. Hold the meat.” ---
