Yeah, I don’t hear that all that much around here – I know their version. It seems like the two songs I mentioned are the main ones that still get airplay over the last couple decades. Maybe I occasionally also hear the single version of “Closer to Home (I’m Your Captain.)” ---

I think I heard this song between 2 and 5 times in the early 80s. I remember mishearing the lyrics as “Sheila licks on me” even though at that time I was too young to have a precise enough imagination to figure out exactly what that misheard lyric would mean. I re-imagined that phrase to be more of a doo wop, i.e. more like “SHEE-la [very lower, performed by the bass singer]licks on me[/bass]”. But at least this song is definitely closer to my memory of said radio song than “Little Sheila” or “My Sharona”. Which aren’t _completely_ different from my memory of the song. I think that the other two Sh— songs must have corrupted my memory of She Sheila so that all three of them sort of blended in together. ---

Their “All Access” DVD is really terrific, they are firing on all cylinders. Rick Witkowski and Bobby Hird are a great one-two lead guitar pair, they trade off some really tasty solos. Anyone ever hear of Year 2000? My friend found their album in a bargain bin and we loved this song, mostly for the breakdown/band introduction about halfway through.
