I have a sneaking suspicion that blue eyes are sung about more often, leaving us poor brown-eyed people feeling like we’re all second-class, but I can’t really come up with a list comprehensive enough to make a reasonable sample size. I call on my music-loving Dopers for help! Rules: the mention of eyes can be in the title _or_ in the lyrics of a song. If you’re referencing a lyric, please give the song title and artist name. Blue eyes: **Behind Blue Eyes** (The Who) **I’ve Got You Under My Skin** (Sinatra) - “Don’t you know blue-eyes you never can win” **Sweet Child O’ Mine** (Guns N Roses) - “She’s got eyes of the bluest skies as if they thought of rain” Brown Eyes: **Brown-eyed girl** (Van Morrison) **Deuces are Wild** (Aerosmith) - “I love to look into your big brown eyes” Neutral: **Sweetest thing** (U2) - “Blue-eyed boy meets a brown-eyed girl” I know, my list is sadly short. I know there are more that I can’t remember right now… ---

I can’t help with the songs, but as a blue-eyed freak, I hope (and think) my side will be triumphant. ---

I’ve got an MP3 of a song called “Brown Eyed Girl”, I dunno who wrote it, or if it was originally a ska song or not. Also, there’s a Kelly Clarkson song called “Behind These Hazel Eyes”, which adds weight to the blue side of the force. Once we figure this out, we need to figure out which color is better… green… or purple? 😃 ---
