WinBlows plays its next trick on me.

I have installed a new hard disk. Well, an old one that I got from a friend. Perfect 6 gigs of MP3 space, and all that. The disk was partitioned into 3 virtual drives, so my CD Rom player and CD Writer are now G and H, respectively. No big deal, right?

Except that Microshaft Winblows now refuses to believe that I have a CD Writer.

Anyone familiar with this little problem?

I’ll have to say it just one last time
If you don’t have windows 2000 (not ME) why are you still reading this? stop whatever you are doing and go get it now. Its a far superrior operating system. I’ll put it up against a mac anyday.

Thanks for the info, kinoons, I will show it to the mister.

And kinoons, is right, 2000 does work beautifully.

 I’ll never use anything else, well, maybe until whistler comes out.

and with ME the win95 kernel is dead. What a shame <cough>

I agree that 2000 is much better. ive never had BSOD on my laptop, and the ‘Hibernate’ feature is really useful. Also, its not true that games dont work on it - most new ones will, eg Deus ex.
