But the dogs thought it meant I wanted to play with them. So, there I am, half reclined on the exercise ball, and 100 pounds of Stupid starts pushing with his nose, and I roll off. When I land on the floor, the Stupid one starts licking me in the face. So, I only did two crunches. Maybe tomorrow, if I hide. I am going to have just one spoonful of Cherry Garcia ice cream (two crunches worth) and then go to bed. ---

May I recommend dance? I really hate to exercise, but dancing is fun! And any type except the “Standing with a beer in one hand bobbing slowly up and down” dance is good exercise. Or maybe I’m just being evangelical cause I just went back to class. ---

**Mr. Taters, aka TaterLurker** read your story **Twinks.** He thought it was absolutely hilarious, if not a little gross. He especially loved what **Swampy** said he’d say in his out loud voice. God, I’m still snerking over that story. **FCM,** that is a really cool pottery studio you’ve got going there. I’m looking forward to great works of art from you. I had a very nice chat with my new boss today. I found out that he appreciates someone who speaks up and likes people who are not “yes” people. I appreciate that! I am one who has absolutely no problem calling attention to something that I feel is assinine, wrong, or just plain stupid. I do it with it tact, of course. Hi **Rue!** It’s gettin’ to be old home week here with **Exgineer** , you, and **ems** dropping in. Now we just need \*\*Kallessa, Wintermute, \*\* **scout** and **dangergene** to pop in. **Mr. Taters** received a very beautiful gold and silver watch with a diamond yesterday, along with a plaque. This is part of his Million Mile Safe Driving award. Today we received the paperwork with information on how to collect his $5,000 bonus (also part of Million Mile Safe Drving award). He has two options: All cash, which works out to $2900 after taxes; or; select an item from the little catalog they sent us and take a lesser cash amount of $1,900. Yeah, they think pretty highly of the offered items in the catalog. To be sure, there are some very nice items, but we could most definitely get some of those on our own for way less than $1,000. He’s calling corporate tomorrow to tell them he wants all cash. Good thinking is what I say! I had ice cream tonight. I ate a Drumstick. It was good! Oh dammit! I stopped at the grocery store on my way home tonight, and I just realized I forgot to nail polish remover…A-FREAKIN-GAIN. Dammit, I really need to re-do my toenails. Dammit! I’m going to go see if I can get some of the nail polish off with rubbing alcohol. :rolleyes: ---

hi again MMPers! Well, I ended up going to work and not taking out my foul mood on the customers or my manager or really anyone except the delivery guy. he told me I looked beautiful and I told him not to talk to me or I’d punch him in the face. My only big issue with quitting is part of the reason I’d quit- laws and rules don’t really apply where I work. Which sucks for the most part, but it also means they’ll let me work hours not allowed by child labor laws. Which means I can also take dance class and be in shows. So in the spirit of ice cream, you all can envy me for a moment. One of my job offers is in an ice cream shop. Now you can stop envying me becuase I don’t eat ice cream anyway and the ice cream we sell is just store brand. and I probably won’t take that job. **Twinkie** - I want a chair like that! it looks like it’s be comfy. This MMP has all my favorite things. Kitty pics, stories, and… kitty pics and stories. Now somebody just has to mention Audrey Hepburn and put up a picture of a baby and I’ll die happy. congrats, **bob** on your new vunderlair anyway… I can’t think of anything else to say. but I’ll probably think of something in a minute or two and be really cool and double-post. ---

_My boxes arrived!!!_ About-freakin’-time! I’m not sure when they were delivered, and I can’t tell which order this is, since the box has no such identification, but when I opened the front door this morning to let some cool air in, there was my box o’boxes! If all goes well, tonight I’ll start packing pots. Yay! 😃 Today is zoo day. We’re going to drive to the Branch Ave Metro Station and ride to the zoo. I had originally considered driving, but it turns out parking is obscenely expensive there, and even if we have to take Metro at rush hour rates, it’ll be cheaper than parking. Plus I don’t have to drive in DC which is another bonus. So when Robert awakens and we breakfast, we’ll be on our way. Searching for fossils occupied him for a couple of hours yesterday. We found one, maybe 2, sharks’ teeth. But we did find some fossil coral and barnacles and a scallop shell and a few other things. I got sunburnt shoulders because I forgot sunscreen. And my feet hurt because walking on bits of broken shell and coarse sand is tough on my delicate tootsies. And I am delicate, dammit. 😛 Anyway, zoo today, Point Lookout Park for swimming tomorrow. **FCD** is going to find out if there’s a group motorcycle ride on Saturday - that’ll give me a day off from Aunt-ing. Here’s hoping. And I’m also hoping that if we have any MMPers in the northeast that they weren’t swept away by the flood waters. There I was, whining about a few gallons of water in my basement, and I see where entire houses were submerged or washed away. Perspective is an interesting thing, ya know? **Rue** , darlin’, you don’t have to make the rare, occasional appearance to test our love - we’ll fawn all over you even if you show multiple times a day. We’ll establish a fawn assignment sheet - everyone will have a designated hour. So don’t be so scarce. We haven’t had a tale of stuff coming out of animals in ages! Plus no stories of Soupo and Katcha - they’re not in jail or anything, are they?? :eek: 😃 ---

**Welbywife** is back, and I’ve gotta say: She is the best beachcomber ever. She came home with a huge box full of stuff she found on the beach. Store quality shells and stuff. If I didn’t know better, I’d say she got them from a store. But I know better. She’s a cheapskate like me. Everyone got sunburned (heh heh), so I spent the day yesterday patting them all on the back. ---

Then best of five. The quarter seemed determined I go to work, and I honestly couldn’t think of anything I _wanted_ to do today. I think it’s entirely possible I still may develop a migraine around lunchtime (so I still at least get paid for some time today–I’m out of sick days for the year already, thanks to my stupid ovaries), but I’ll probably have my entire day’s worth of work done long before then. And then I’ll go home, take a nap, watch a movie, and laze about with the righteous feeling of one who did something she didn’t really want to. 🙂 ---

A friend & I have agreed to sign up for a Latin dance class at the community college in the Fall. I may also take a tap class with another friend at a local studio (her kids go there, and an adult class may form as well.) I’m really looking forward to it – it’s the only exercise I’m interested in right now (I, too, hate exercising). But I found nothing for the summer that fits with my schedule. I’m off from work tomorrow - HOORAY! But we (my daughter & I) have 3 doctor appointments between us, so there won’t be much time for relaxing. I also have to get the house clean before the weekend adventures begin, since I won’t have another chance before the crowd lands here on Monday. ---

Happy Birthday Spats! It’s my Grandma’s birthday today too. But she’s pro’ly a bit older than our spats. 😛 My new gym has a belly dancing class starting in a couple weeks. I really want to try that, but they don’t have the class time posted. So I’ll actually have to stop and ask someone when it is, and I’m always in a rush at the gym so I just haven’t had a chance to ask. I guess I should do that soon. Maybe tomorrow morning. But only if the woman is at the info desk. The guy who’s there some days is slightly creepy so I don’t think I want to talk to him about belly dancing. The magic cookie bars are a big hit at work despite falling apart. No one seems to be too picky about homemade goodies. 😃 ---

Aw, thanks everyone. Just a tad early. ::cough:: September. ::cough:: But it’s the thought that counts, right?? 🙂 We have two extinguishers in our utility room, one next to the fireplace and one in the bedroom. (And no naughty comments on the bedroom one, hear me?) Meanwhile, my [home town](http://www.newschannel34.com/Default.aspx) is flooding more than it has before in recorded history. :eek: I went home yesterday afternoon and the tile guys were there. They were jack hammering slab in the master bath cause we are increasing the size of the shower and the pan must be bigger. They tell me that they heard my tile is on back order and won’t be in till next month! :eek: :mad: So I call my BIL (he, who sold me the tile) and find out that it WILL be in on the 10th which isn’t quite so bad. Then Mr. Anachi tells me the plumber is coming in a few hours to plumb the two shower heads. ☹ I got no rest and today I feel worse than yesterday. 😛 I will probably go home again this afternoon and cross my fingers no one will be there. NO WAY am I being Maude… 😃 Tis a beatious day here in near-Chicago. A thunderboomer passed over us last noc, and it is cool and sunny–again. I am loving this June. Today I take 2 sons to the dentist and then haircuts.
